Meet Chris and the LMS Team
Chris Balba - Founder & Lead Machinist
Chris’s interest in manufacturing began in High School and grew into a life-long passion while studying Machine Tool Technology at New Hampshire Community College.
Following his studies, Chris became an expert Manual Lathe Machinist, manufacturing high-precision medical equipment. He soon mastered the programming, set-up and operation of the Nakamura-Tome CNC Turning Center, as well as Mitsubishi Software and the Mazak CNC Turning Center.
Later, Chris was the lead machinist at an aerospace shop in Boston where he manufactured parts for jets, rockets and satellites. Chris then became an expert in CMM precision measuring and hand tool inspection.
After moving to Florida to manufacture precision-milled parts on HAAS CNC machines for the military and aerospace, he soon became responsible for training new staff and grew a small 6-man machine shop into a major operation.
Chris is now the proud co-owner of LMS, where he applies his 15 years experience in precision machining to offer customers high precision manufacturing in record time.
